Western Colorado Botanical Gardens & Butterfly House

Overview

In addition to the greenhouse, several outdoor gardens and exhibits have been completed along with the Pomrenke Children’s Library which focuses on science and environmental books for children and adults. In collaboration with community members and other non-profit organizations, classes and workshops for children and adults are offered in the Library. It is also used for meetings of the WCBG Board, committees, and community botanical societies. The completed gardens and exhibits include the Mindy’s Sensory Garden, Hemmerich Memorial Rose Garden, the Harmony In Color Garden, the North Channel Nature Trail, the Cactus and Succulent Garden, the Elizabeth Harris Amphitheater and the Children’s Secret Garden.
